Behind the Scenes
It all started back in 2015 when our then-president and co-founder, Nur Hazeem, made a conscious decision to set aside time to volunteer for causes he believed in during his JC years.
Alarmed that most youths limited their volunteerism to what was required by their schools' mandatory volunteering program, he decided to set up ALittleChange as a means of encouraging youth around Singapore to engage with causes that mattered to them.
Today, our organization primarily focuses on strengthening community relationships in a low income setting. ALittleChange envisions a Singapore where our youth feel enabled and empowered enough to take ownership of issues in their local spaces, working towards a more inclusive society for everyone.
ALittleChange hopes to inspire youths to be a source of positive change in the community.
The ones running the operation.
Harold has been with ALC since 2017, and is currently awaiting matriculation to NUS law. His wide range of hobbies include reading, writing poetry and Muay Thai.
Kishore takes keen interest in understanding the economic and political workings of our world. However, he also spends his free time outside NS in activities such as exploring new food spots, watching way too many shows on Netflix, and trying to convince other football fans that “London is blue”.
Director of Community Engagement

ANG DE REN
De Ren loves learning about the human experience, and this makes him curious about subjects like History and Psychology. It's also a good excuse for him to spend lots of time listening to music and watching award-winning films.
Dhatri is currently a student at NUS studying Business Administration and is in charge of ensuring the financial stability of the organisation. She's deeply passionate about communication and loves interacting with or meeting new people.
As a member of ALittleChange you join a family of young changemakers just like you, who are inspired and motivated to make a difference in the lives of others.
Our members go on to forge lifelong friendships with like-minded peers through the organization's activities and often find themselves growing immensely because of their increased exposure to the diverse perspectives we value and foster at ALC.
Beyond that however, each member has the privilege to propose new projects, ideas or solutions to pertinent issues they feel should be addressed and are given the platform to gather funding, resources and manpower to make the change they want to see in the world.
